Bitget’s October 20 announcement identifies its participation through BTGT Management. GMO’s proposed sale remains subject to approvals and conditions.

Bitget said on October 20 that it plans to acquire GMO-Z.com Cryptonomics (Thailand), identifying its participation in a Thai exchange sale that GMO had disclosed in September. The deal would run through BTGT Management (Thailand), a company in which Bitget says it holds an interest. The Bangkok-based target operates a licensed digital asset exchange and brokerage, according to Bitget. Completion remains subject to applicable regulatory approval and other conditions. The announcement therefore describes a proposed acquisition, with a further approval requirement for the change of control before Bitget introduces its trading platform to Thai users.

[GMO Internet’s September 24 disclosure](https://internet.gmo/en/ir/pdf/irlibrary/gmointernet_e_disclose_20260924.pdf) had already named BTGT Management as the intended buyer, or an entity designated at completion. GMO Internet directly holds 49% of the target, while GMO-Z.com Holdings (Thailand) holds 50.94%. The two sellers plan to transfer all of those holdings, a combined 99.94% stake.

GMO’s board approved the transaction on September 24. The filing listed execution of the share-transfer agreement on or about that date as scheduled, and October 31 as the expected transfer date. That timetable is a planned closing, rather than evidence that ownership has already changed. The sale price is undisclosed at the buyer’s request.

The seller said it had announced its withdrawal from Thailand’s digital asset business in March, following a review of its business portfolio and the local market environment. October’s announcement adds Bitget’s stated involvement and its intended route to local operations; it does not establish a completed transfer or a confirmed platform launch date.
