The company’s November 5 release describes a subsidiary’s application and a conditional role carrying U.S. accounts for proposed permissioned Hyperliquid markets.

Hyperliquid Strategies said on November 5 that a subsidiary had applied to become a U.S. futures commission merchant, or FCM. The listed digital asset treasury company described the application as part of a plan to carry U.S. customer accounts for proposed permissioned markets on Hyperliquid.

The disclosure appears in the company’s [November 5 release](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2078856/000119312526450063/purr-ex99_1.htm), furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to an SEC Form 8-K. The release says the intended account-carrying business remains subject to regulatory approval. It gives no assurance about the application’s timing or outcome, or approval of the proposed markets.

The applicant is a subsidiary of Hyperliquid Strategies, which trades on Nasdaq as PURR. The release does not name that subsidiary. The disclosed application concerns that company’s proposed brokerage role; it is not an announcement that the Hyperliquid protocol has received a blanket U.S. operating approval.

### Account carrying and market deployment are separate roles

The release describes optional additional deployer features under the name HIP-3*, intended to support permissioned markets on Hyperliquid’s infrastructure. Under the company’s description, independent operators would run those markets, while its prospective FCM would carry U.S. client accounts. Both the proposed role and the markets’ regulatory status remain conditional.

The [8-K cover report](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/2078856/000119312526450063/purr-20261104.htm) identifies November 4 as the earliest event reported and says the company issued the release on November 5. Those dates do not establish when the subsidiary submitted its application. The announcement also supplies no customer trading start date.

This is separate from [Payward’s September proposal for U.S. perpetual futures on Hyperliquid](https://chainminute.com/news/3b780d43-ceac-4f4b-883c-cd6151f7ae51), which named Bitnomial and NinjaTrader Clearing and was announced subject to approval. That earlier plan provides context for different firms’ proposed roles, rather than confirmation of Hyperliquid Strategies’ application or current customer access.
