Payward, Kraken's parent company, plans to bring onchain perpetual futures to US clients through Hyperliquid. Its September 16 announcement says the proposed contracts remain subject to regulatory approval.

Under the design, Bitnomial would deploy and administer the markets, then clear and settle the contracts. NinjaTrader Clearing would carry customer accounts. Trading would be restricted to customers onboarded by NinjaTrader and included on both firms' allowlists.

A public order book with restricted access

Hyperliquid's blockchain would match and record trades, while the named Payward entities would retain their regulatory responsibilities. A public blockchain would therefore host a market with controlled customer access.

The release announces an intended deployment, without supplying a trading start date. It does not establish that US customers can already use these proposed Hyperliquid markets.

The plan follows a separate product expansion: Kraken recently added xStocks yield vaults. Those vaults and the proposed derivatives markets serve different purposes and have separate availability conditions.
