Anchorage Digital announced on October 6 that it has acquired Routable, adding a corporate payouts business to its digital-asset infrastructure. Routable will operate as Routable by Anchorage Digital. The ownership change is confirmed by both companies, while their combined product rollout remains a separate, future step.
The Anchorage announcement describes Routable as a platform for onboarding recipients, handling compliance workflows and coordinating high-volume payments. Its payout layer connects a company's enterprise resource planning system, or ERP, to the payment networks used to deliver money to recipients.
That is the practical addition to Anchorage's existing stablecoin issuance, custody and settlement business. Issuing or holding a digital asset is one part of a corporate payment; distributing it through the systems a business already uses is another. The acquisition brings those functions under the same corporate group.
Routable's own announcement says clients across the two businesses are served from the outset, but integrated offerings will arrive over the coming quarters. It also describes native stablecoin and tokenized-deposit settlement as capabilities to be embedded into Routable's offering. The announcement does not give a specific release date for that combined functionality.
The distinction matters for businesses assessing the deal. Existing payout operations and a completed acquisition do not establish that every proposed digital-asset settlement feature is already available to every customer. The two company statements describe the same transaction and should not be treated as independent evaluations of its performance.
For now, the confirmed development is Anchorage's acquisition of the payout platform. The next milestone is delivery of the integrated offerings, with concrete information about supported assets, eligible customers and the payment workflows actually available.
