Paxos announced on October 7 that its Crypto Brokerage platform now supports XRP. The addition gives partners using its infrastructure another asset to offer through their own services, with trading and custody listed in the company's current documentation.
What is supported
The official announcement describes XRP support as available now, rather than a proposed addition. The asset documentation, checked on October 8, lists XRP as a native asset on the XRP Ledger under its trading and custody table.
That table identifies the asset and network together. For an operator integrating brokerage services, both matter: a ticker describes what is being traded, while the network identifies where the native asset moves.
Paxos says crypto trading assets are primarily available to Crypto Brokerage partners for purchases, sales, deposits, withdrawals and holdings through APIs. Its brokerage overview describes the broader integration model, including market data, orders, held-rate quotes and asset transfers through its REST API, alongside FIX and WebSocket interfaces.
The practical change is therefore an asset addition within an existing service. Partners still determine how that support appears in their own products.
Support and rollout are separate
The announcement does not name individual partners that have launched XRP access, specify a country-by-country rollout or report completed customer transactions. Those details remain unconfirmed.
The transfer documentation also distinguishes an incoming blockchain transaction from an account credit: deposits are credited after the required confirmations. Withdrawals to new addresses can face additional review when automated checks fail.
The next concrete rollout evidence would be a partner announcement identifying where and how customers can access the added asset. The platform-level update alone does not establish availability in a particular app.
